Janine Chen is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries. She has held senior leadership roles as Chief Executive Officer, General Manager, and in regional Commercial and Market Access positions across Central America and the Caribbean. In these roles, she has delivered transformative growth and operational excellence for multinational organisations in several markets.
Transformation and growth have defined her career, which has brought increasing responsibility with some of the world’s most recognisable brands. Her highlights include leading successful geographic and business-unit mergers and leading a globally funded prostate cancer awareness initiative. She has also contributed to peer-reviewed publications.
Janine has served on several boards. She is the 4th Vice President of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Pharmaceutical Subcommittee of its Trade Facilitation Committee. She is a registered Nutritionist and a certified Diabetes Resource Clinician, with academic qualifications in Natural Sciences, Nutrition and Business Spanish.
Outside of work, Janine treasures time with her husband and daughter and brings the same passion to family life that she brings to her work.
