Dirk Marin is a results-driven executive with wide-ranging experience in planning and leading operations, from small locally owned to larger multinational manufacturing environments. His 20+ year career extends across engineering and design, education, industrial performance, operations management, manufacturing and executive leadership.

Joining Acado FOODS (formerly VEMCO) as Plant Manager in 2014, Dirk was soon appointed to Director, Manufacturing in 2016, and currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since 2023.

A firm believer in the philosophy of “servant leadership,” he approaches strategy with a “people” lens as the driving force for success across the company. His portfolio as CEO oversees various areas of Acado Foods, including product development, supply chain management, manufacturing and distribution, commercial operations, marketing and business development, finance, as well as human resource management.

Dirk holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and is a member of the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago (BOETT), as well as the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (APETT).

Beyond his professional career, Dirk Marin is a true Caribbean man with a passion for sport. He and his wife, Gabrielle, are the proud parents of four beautiful children who anchor them to reality and to living a life filled with purpose.
