We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining effective health and safety policies and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents.
- Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:
- A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a similar or equivalent role.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards.
- Expertise in policy drafting and training execution.
