The successful candidate will be leading the Channel Strategy framework and providing support to retailers while focusing on all customers both internally and externally along with achieving sales and profitability targets.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the development of business plans and strategies by customers and brands for the commercial department.
- Defines the commercial sales targets and model for our priority customers.
- Assigns sales territories and sales quota in alignment with departmental goals and by extension Company.
- Monitors the performance of account executives and provides the necessary guidance to improve service levels and efficiency.
- Works with Team members to improve profitability, distribution, and promotion at retail outlets.
- Builds and maintains good working relationships with clients to create an atmosphere that fosters sales.
- Conducts trade visits to audit the stores, report on competitive activities, and secure spacing and negotiations in the best interest of the company, the customer, and the consumer.
- Reports generation and analysis of sales data.
- Develops and implements winning customer category plans to successfully deliver category growth.
- Drives our category strategy both internally and externally by engaging multiple stakeholders to deliver key category initiatives.
- Drives the category management process across your customers, to influence customer category space, ranging, merchandising, promotion, and display decisions to help grow the category and create competitive and commercial advantage.
- Oversees the interviewing, hiring, and training of sales staff.
- Motivates and supports sales teams to achieve set goals/targets and evaluate sales team individual performance.
- Develops and implements standards for productivity, customer service, and quality of services.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:
- A Master’s degree in sales/marketing or any related field with a minimum of seven (7) years’ Sales experience.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
- Capability to engage and influence team members and stakeholders.
