Implementation of 556kWp Solar PV System
In Barbados, a 556kWp solar PV system was installed at our operations located at Goddard’s Complex, Fontabelle, in August 2023. This project was collaboratively led by Goddard’s Property Manager Maurice Arthur and Akeil Haynes Enterprises Ltd, ensuring a successful installation and commissioning.
The system comprises numerous Solar Panels installed on the roof of our warehouses. This state-of-the-art system allowed optimal conversion of solar energy into usable electricity and was successfully connected to the grid, marking the beginning of its operational phase. We are proud to achieve annual savings of 33% of our KWH usage.
The implementation of the 556kWp solar PV system at Acado (Barbados) Limited has significantly and positively impacted our cost of doing business. This significant investment not only contributes to sustainable energy production for our company but also set new standards for our wider sector.

Implementation of 113kWp Solar PV System
The 113kWp solar PV system was installed at our Maurice Bishop Highway Location in St. George’s in September 2023. This project was spearheaded by David Bristol of Gearing Up Limited, who brought their extensive expertise in renewable energy to ensure a successful installation.
The system comprises numerous Solar Panels, and inverters from Germany which are known for their high efficiency and durability, ensuring optimal conversion of solar energy into usable electricity.
The installation process began with meticulous site preparation, involving groundwork and structural modifications to accommodate the solar panels. Along the way we decided to do an extensive overhaul of our entire warehouse electrical system to ensure a smooth and safe transition to any future expansion we may undertake.
After installation, the system underwent rigorous performance testing, demonstrating impressive output and efficiency. Safety checks were conducted to ensure compliance with all regulations, and the system was successfully connected to the grid, marking the beginning of its operational phase. A sophisticated monitoring system has also been implemented to track performance and ensure the system continues to operate at peak efficiency. We are happy to say that year on year, we have saved 33% of KWH usage.
