Hurricane Beryl Relief Efforts

In the wake of Hurricane Beryl’s devastating impact, our Group mobilized to support affected communities with immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts. Guided by our core values of People-Centred leadership and Uplift, we worked alongside local partners to provide essential supplies, financial aid, and logistical support to those in need.

Our commitment went beyond emergency relief—we dedicated ourselves to rebuilding stronger, more resilient communities. Together, we stood in solidarity, offering hope and tangible support to help those impacted recover and rebuild.

Acado Grenada

Given the extensive destruction to northern Grenada, particularly Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the company pledged a donation of relief supplies to support the affected communities. Beryl made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, causing widespread destruction, displacing families, and severely damaging infrastructure.

Acado SVG

In St. Vincent, some team members were directly impacted by Hurricane Beryl. To aid their recovery, the company provided assistance amounting to XCD $59,000. Additionally, customers who were directly affected received supplies worth XCD $8,000.

As part of the overall hurricane disaster relief programme, two hundred and thirty-five cases of food and household products, totalling XCD $30,000, were shipped to individuals in the Southern Grenadines in early July. CEO Jimmie Forde stated that these contributions “will help improve the lives of individuals in the Southern Grenadines and bring comfort during this very difficult period.”

Acado Trinidad

Our Trinidad companies, Acado Foods and Distribution, collaborated and donated substantial food and essential items through the CARICOM Private Sector Organization to assist affected areas.

Acado St. Lucia

In St. Lucia, the team organized a Saturday Sales Promotion dedicated to Hurricane Relief. The promotion raised USD $6,471.55, which was donated to relief efforts in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

Acado Guyana

In partnership with The Rotary Club of Georgetown and the Civil Defense Commission, on July 3rd 2024, we supported Grenada’s recovery by donating non-perishable food items to aid relief efforts.
